The Marble Hall of the Town Hall accommodates up to 7 September six masterpieces from the Savoy Gallery.
This is the exhibition floor, 'The Savoy on tour to the city: screenings, tests and inspections on the territory', sponsored by the Regional Directorate for Cultural Heritage and Landscape of Piedmont and the Superintendence for the Historical, Artistic and Ethno-anthropological Heritage of Piedmont - state structures of protection - and realized in collaboration with government and civic thanks to the support of Compagnia di San Paolo.
One of the guidelines of the project aims to establish dialogues unpublished, on the linguistic and iconographic, including works - or sequences of work - and in different contexts than usual.
Born from this idea exposure - which is part of the series "Art in Common" - in Marble Hall of the Town Hall, the two sets of respectively constituted by van Eyck, Fra Angelico and Schiavone and Rembrandt, Poussin and Reni.

Admission to the exhibition is free, but to see it is necessary to book numbers 011 4422244 or 011 4422504 (Mon.-fri. 9-17.30 sat. 9-13).
The public can admire the works - accompanied by guides (volunteers of the project "Senior Civic" of the City of Turin or Volunteer Guide to the Town Hall) - at fixed times from Monday to Friday from 11 am to 13 and from 16 to 18, the Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon.

The project 'The Savoy on tour' spread over 14 centers in the Piedmont, where 18 exhibitions are made with 51 works from the Gallery: Five in Turin, one at the Town Hall and 4 in the museums of the State (Royal Palace, Royal Armoury, Palazzo Carignan and Villa della Regina), the remaining 12 in thirteen major cities of Piedmont: Alba, Alessandria, Asti, Biella, Casale Monferrato, Cuneo, Domodossola, Ivrea, Novara, Saluzzo, Varallo, Verbania and Vercelli.
"Youngest of a museological perspective developed by the Superintendent since 2012 to strengthen the relationship between the museum and territory - said Edith Gabrielli - The Savoy on tour ensures the continued use of some of the most significant works of Savoy during summer 2014 when the seat of the Museum, the New Wing of the Royal Palace, will be subjected to a series of works on the structures and systems in view of the inauguration final.
This in turn helps to promote tourist the entire Piedmont, going to strengthen local programming already rich and satisfying and it is really an operation of a public service, able to represent and involve the entire chain of administrative and civil society as a whole and so keep firm and vital principles of integrated territorial protection. "
