The Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, from February 12 to April 12, presents Pictures Punish Words, the first solo show of the Italian Avery Singer (New York, 1987), curated by Beatrix Ruf. Amazing technique and iconography, paintings Avery Singer subvert our expectations visuals. At first glance you subtract a precise classification as paintings or processing to printing. For this raises the question, obvious and at the same time pressing for an artist, the way in which the digital information that surround us may materialize - in the form of a flat image on paper or, more recently, three-dimensional plastic, or every other possible surface material. Avery Singer has created a cycle of works specially designed for his first solo. After an initial presentation at the Kunsthalle Zurich, the staff moves Turin, at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo.
