The Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo from February 12 to April 12 presents Fobofilia, an exhibition on the image of fear, the way in which artists give shape to one of the most distinctive and elusive feelings of our age. Fobofilia is the pleasure a bit perverse to be scared, a drive that is becoming more frequent. Fear is the most common registry in entertainment, but also in information and consequently in the way of perceiving reality. The art reflects this climate, it offers many different forms, from the most intimate and psychological, of a subjectivity attacked or aggressive, to the outer and political, of a society that is based on violence and uses terror as a weapon.

Artists in the exhibition:
Janis Avotins, Matthew Barney, Massimo Bartolini, Avner Ben Gal, Glenn Brown, Miguel Calderon, Maurizio Cattelan, Dinos e Jake Chapman, Ross Chisholm, Roberto Cuoghi, Flavio Favelli, Saul Fletcher, Anna Gaskell, Douglas Gordon, Gusmao& Paiva, Thomas Hirschhorn, Piotr Janas, Suchan Kinoshita, Zoe Leonard, Margherita Manzelli, Eva Marisaldi, Nathaniel Mellors, Shirin Neshat, Kelly Nipper, Cady Noland, Catherine Opie, Tony Oursler, Djordje Ozbolt, Anri Sala, Ferdinando Scianna, Andreas Slominski, Marianne Vitale, Jakub Julian Ziolkowski.
