The Museum of Turin MIIT, the international magazine Italia Arte, the Galleria Folco and Hotel & Residence Le Acacie want to celebrate ten years of art by Alessandro Matta, one of the most eclectic, brilliant, provocative Italian artist of the millennium.
After a major exhibition celebrating the most important South American artist living Pablo Atchugarry, the staff of Dario Ballantine and exhibitions dedicated to international trade established between the Museum MIIT and major foundations and Italian and foreign museums, such as the exhibition reserved to the artists of the Zhou Brothers Art Center Foundation of Chicago and the Museum of Kunstlerforum Bonn, the Museum will host MIIT then the retrospective of Alexander Matta.
A journey through some of the major works of the author, going by the early work with the latest explorations around the world of color and space, declined with a unique style and attentive staff surprise effect, and the ironic interplay between symbolism and image.
The women's world, in the artistic universe of Alessandro Matta, is a constant and fundamental element, in line with an experiment focused on the image, on language, on the mystery of the unsaid and unspoken that characterizes the other half of the sky. On show some fifty works from private collections and from the artist's personal collection.
The MIIT is a new museum exhibition space located in the heart of the city, in an ancient palace of the '700 and fervent in the neighborhood of galleries, museums and foundations, two steps from the Egyptian Museum, the National Museum of Cinema in the Mole Antonelliana , Palazzo Madama, by MAAO Museum of Oriental Art, by the State, from the Royal Palace, the GAM and from all the main cultural and tourist attractions of the capital. The new MIIT, even nell'assonanza name in some foreign languages??, evokes "meetings" cultural and artistic recovering from the English word "meet" and the German "mit" the sense of sharing and exchange of experiences and knowledge.
Among the main partners and associates of the MIIT, museums, foundations, academies, auction houses, universities, galleries and public and private collections, historical archives and art, Italian Cultural Institutes in the world, Italian companies in the Made in Italy, which the MIIT and the monthly magazine "Italian Art" over the years have established working relationships and cultural connections.
