For the first time the collection of contemporary ceramics of Carlo Zauli Museum of Faenza exits the museum and becomes an exhibit . An exclusive collective, in collaboration with the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in Venice, that from April 2 brings twenty-nine pottery works made ??by many artists who conceived and created their works in the museum in Faenza.
A collection that bears the names of artists of national and international renown, but also of young recipients of the ateliers of the Bevilacqua La Masa, just selected to participate in this art project. Each of them, meeting the ceramic for the first time, brought the expressive means of the local tradition in completely new visions. This was, after all, the goal of the Museum Zauli, that from twelve years tests through curatorial residencies and meetings with artists .
The title "In form of ceramic" alludes to the art invention that finds inspiration in the extraordinary features of a noble material and comes up against the limits that it puts; the result of the process is tension and surprise, practicality and lightness of a thought that is materializing in mask shapes.
Curated by Stefano Coletto and Matthew Zauli, will present the work of Yuri Ancarani , Salvatore Arancio , Sergi Avveduti , Maura Biava , Lorenza Boisi , Pierpaolo Campanini , Gianni Caravaggio , David Casini , T -Yong Chung, Lawrence Commisso , Christian and Diego Frosi Perrone , Alberto Garutti , Francesco Gennari , John Giaretta , Piero Golia , Simon Macgrath , Marisaldi , Mathieu Mercier , Maurizio Mercuri , Luke Monterastelli , Bruno Peinado , Clare Pergola, Marco Samore , Daniel Silver , Luca Trevisani , David Valenti, Daniele Veronesi , Sislej Xhafa , Italo Zuffi.
The exhibition, which opens on the ground floor of the Tito Palace with Edison Clouster, large installation by Luca Trevisani with ceramic, neon and light bulbs, hosts in the rooms on the upper floor works ranging from the great and famous Madonna by Alberto Garutti , the "non- Vinyl" by Lorenzo Commisso, ceramic disc playable on his turntable, until toothpick made ??from terracotta by Sislej Xhafa in 2006, the multicolored grès confetti by Marisaldi and the results of scientific research and Frosi Perrone with the CNR .
At the event , which reinforces the collaboration going on for several years between the two institutions , will be published in a publication which will collaborate Daniela Fight , Guido Molinari and Marco Tagliafierro, curators of some of the issues of Artist Residence MCZ .
