Four young Slovene artists will realize a multimedia installation , with the support of FamulVideoLab - KD GT Gallery in Ljubljana. The project was selected from among the many proposals received under the call launched by Piran Coastal Galleries , published in November 2013.
The collective of Slovenian artists will transform the gallery AplusA in a home where four housemates will be able to live , and where they will meet the personal poetics , giving rise to a set of fun harmonies and differences, and conflicts cross . The exhibition will be divided into seven rooms, depending on their function : the bathroom, the kitchen , the living room , the bedroom of children, Tomaž room , the room of sex.
Each of them is a spokesman for his concept , which connects to the broader individuality in coexistence.
The main issues examined by the four housemates are : the public and private space , privacy , identity , co-existence , the individual and the community , but also the memories , dreams and fantasies . Concepts manifested in the form of audiovisual , video , photos, text messages, light and sound installations , drawings and paintings . The events planned are the result of interactions between artists , four individuality in a collective exhibition , who must fight for their own space, to share the work. The visitor can follow this form of communication through the comments , which in various forms artists are left with one another within the premises.
On the occasion of the exhibition there will be a performance is a tour that will be repeated at the end of the exposure. L ' idea of ??the exhibition was born from the need to explore the medium of video as part of the center FamulVideoLab , GT body of the Cultural Gallery , a space that brings together several independent authors who use the moving image in an individual and relate with the media.
Thomas Burlin , Pila Rusjan , Naomi Veberi? Levovnik and Valérie Wolf Gang, with their own research has found the analogy between the struggle required for the space and the sharing of living space .
