Built by Ascanio Vitozzi between 1598 and 1606, it is the church of the Confraternity of the Santissima Trinità, the Holy Trinity, which managed the hospice of pilgrims that used to be part of the building. The centrally planned interior was conceived according to the trinity symbolism (three gates, three choir lofts, three altars) and still has the decoration made by a scholar of Filippo Juvarra, Ignazio Agliaudo di Tavigliano. The XVII-century dome was frescoed by Francesco Gonin and Luigi Vacca in 1844-47, while the neoclassical facade was decorated by Angelo Marchini (1831).
