Of all the masterpieces preserved in the sacristy, three canvases stand out, which were created by Titian for the ceiling of the now destroyed church of Santo Spirito in Isola. They depict Abraham and Isaac, David and Goliath and the Death of Abel using powerful figures which are shortened considerably in the style of Michelangelo, whom the artist knew and admired even before travelling to Rome in 1545.
