After Miart the city prepares for the Salone del Mobile

Milan is growing with the Expo, design and new architectures

Milan - Waiting for the Expo 2015, Milan goes on with its continuous and interesting research through art, architecture and design.
After the 19th edition of Miart, ended on March 30th, soon it will be the turn of the Salone del Mobile (with the inevitable Fuorisalone), which will entertain the city from April 8th to 13th, 2014.
Those who are planning to be there on this occasion will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a full calendar of events that will also be extended to the following weeks.

While spring in Milan continues at Palazzo Reale, waiting for the exhibition on Bernardino Luini, which will be surrounded by the settings designed by Piero Lissoni from April 10th, the Musei Civici have just confirmed their free opening for the whole fair week.

Also the Triennale will anticipate the event with a special calendar: the 7th edition of the Triennale Design Museum, titled "Il design italiano oltre le crisi. Autarchia, austerità, autoproduzione",will open on April 3rd with a selection of over 600 works of well-known designers.
On Tuesday, April 8th, along with the beginning of the Triennale Design Week 2014, both TIM4EXPO with its live broadcasting an the documentary exhibition "Maarten Van Severen. Works" by Terenja van Dijk will start.

After the Salone, the spotlight will be back on the Expo and on the new architectures that are already changing the shape of the city. Among all the initiatives, FAI organizes the lecture "New buildings of contemporary Milan" at the Cavallerizza on Thursday, April 17th. Maria Vittoria Capitanucci, professor of History and Theory of Architecture at Politecnico, will guide people through the new urban landscape.
