Rome - After the reopening of some domus in Pompeii, which have undergone an extensive renovation, and the announcement of the restoration of the Mausoleum of Augustus, on the occasion of his 2000th anniversary, the plan for the conservation and enhancement of Italian archaeological sites continues, particularly in the area of ??Rome.

Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 11am, at the Teatro Romano in Ostia Antica, the Special Superintendent of the Archaeological Heritage of Rome, Mariarosaria Barbera, and the General Director for the Promotion of Cultural Heritage, Anna Maria Buzzi, will present the project "Ostia Antica città senza età", a new, expanded path through the archaeological site of Ostia.

In the Capital, however, the redevelopment of the Domus Aurea continues. The palace of Nero, closed for several years, is currently undergoing delicate interventions aimed at consolidating it and preventing further collapses.
The final draft of the Protection System of the top - a critical step for the monument and its preservation - will be presented in the Octagonal Hall of the archaeological complex on Wednesday, June 18th at 10:30 am.
