Venice - Everything is almost ready in Venice for the opening of the 14.International Architecture Exhibition and many institutions are preparing to anticipate the great event.
Palazzo Grassi starts on June 4th at 5.30pm with the first date of the "Stream Lectures", a new cycle of three meetings on contemporary architecture and the evolution of urban space.
The first guest will be Hans Ulrich Obrist, co-director of the Serpentine Gallery in London and curator of the Swiss Pavilion for this-year Biennale. He will interview in person Greg Lindsay, urbanist, writer and journalist, asking him about the shapes of the future city, between the Aerotropolis and the spreading of "smart-slums".

Meanwhile, at 6pm, the Fondazione Querini Stampalia presents a conversation between international architects Bijoy Jain and Kazuyo Sejima and curators Yuko Hasegawa and Chiara Bertola. The event is part of the program "Invito al contemporaneo", the traditional cycle of lectures with Italian and foreign artists, critics, curators, historians and scientists, organized by the Foundation since 1996.
Aftert that, at 8pm, the exhibition in homage to the "Sign of Carlo Scarpa" will open at the same venue until September 29th, 2014.

On Thursday, June 5th also the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa will open its doors with a dialogue between architecture and photography, with the same multidisciplinary spirit followed by Rem Koolhaas .
In Piazza San Marco there will be displayed "Ghosts and reality", the striking work of the German photographer Axel Hütte, with pictures taken in Venice, in homage to the austere beauty of its buildings.
Finally, Palazzetto Tito will host for the first time in Italy the work of the Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto. In "Modern Times" he presents some new images, including those taken in the spaces of the Serpentine Gallery and the MoMA in New York.
