DESCRIZIONE:

A famous hellenistic sculpture showing a young boy trying to remove a splinter from his foot. It was one of the most widely reproduced works of the ancient world judging by how many copies exist throughout the world. The statue at the Capitoline is considered the oldest.

The work was part of the famous donation of 1471 by Sixtus IV to the city of Rome, which saw the start of the Capitoline Museums.
