Alberto Giacometti

Kunsthaus Zürich

DESCRIZIONE:
By 1925 Giacometti was no longer satisfied with realist sculpture and began to look around for other ways to give expression to his own vision and sensitivities. This led him to experiment both with the rigourous stylization of Cubism and the primal energy of Afro-Oceanic art. In 1929 he succeeded in creating transparent objects without mass, floating and insubstantial like dream figures, polysemic and evocative signs of his own inner vision.
