DESCRIZIONE:

The paintings showing all the regions of Italy and the principal cities were commissioned by Gregorio XIII Boncompagni (1572-85) and were the work of Antonio Danti with an important contribution from his brother, the dominican geographer Ignazio. On the ceiling of the gallery, 120 meters long, miracles are depicted in correspondence with the place in which they occurred.
