The Throne of the Doges

Saint Mark's Church Museum

DESCRIZIONE:
The throne, attributed to the shop of the Lombardos and dated to the end of the fifteenth century, probably comes from the Palazzo Ducale. The decoration, carried out only on the visible sides, is inspired by the typical repertory of the first venetian rennaisance: candelabras, grape vines and putti playing musical instruments.
