From Thursday 4 to Wednesday 24 December 2014, Burning Giraffe Art Gallery presents its first exhibition dedicated to artists under 35 of the multifaceted contemporary scene in Turin. The idea behind the project, which will be repeated annually, is to showcase a diverse range of interpretations of the same theme. This first edition was chosen the theme of Bestiary Urban Imaginary; a contemporary reinterpretation, in key metropolitan, of an ancient idea, which in the Middle Ages had found his period of vogue, creating a new collection of beings imaginative, surreal inhabitants of the city, which make up the exhibition Times BUI - Urban Imaginary Bestiary.
The exhibition, consisting of over 20 works by 12 young artists of Turin, lives of great contrasts, both in the technical realization of the work, that's conceptual approach to the issue of the Bestiary. The power of color own Street Art, here represented by some of the biggest names of the rich Turin scene, as Mrfijodor and the duo iDipsyDiverz, clashes with the stylish flaneur novecentesci Paul Wolf, aka Demian, drawings Gothic and dream of Henry Mazzone, and the dark night of ghosts Erika Riehle. The artists and illustrators Annalisa Bollini and Dalia Del Bue offer a reading playful and surreal theme of the bestiary.
Highlight of the exhibition is the intervention anamorphic wall made by the collective of street artists Truly Design (Emanuele "Rems182" Ronco, Marco "Mach505" Cimberle, Rocco Emiliano "Ninja1" Fava, Mauro "Mauro149" Italian): a mural, whose subject is distinguishable from a single point inside the gallery, which interacts with the exhibition space itself, transforming it from a container into a work of art; intervention even more fascinating because ephemeral, as is the nature of street art, which will exist and will be visible only for the duration of the exhibition.
The exhibition responds to two needs that led to the birth of the exhibition space in Via Eusebio Bava 8 / a, in Turin: to show - literally - the young talents of the art scene, and to establish a living relationship with the city of Turin , its artists, and the audience of fans.
