During the period when Turin dedicates maximum visibility to contemporary art with  Artissima (7-9 November 2014), also Areacreativa42 opens the doors to the first floor of Casa Toesca to inaugurate the exhibition of photographs by Carmen Cardillo curated by Carmelo Nicosia and Karin Reisovà.
The title Alias ??/ Self-portraits anticipates the theme of the self, in which the photographer has dedicated itself in its latest research. The beginnings of collaboration with Carmen date back to the exhibition of 2012 is Sicily ... Stop! Villa Vallero (Rivarolo C.se), where some of his works were exhibited alongside those of Oriana Tabacco and Carmelo Nicosia, his master, that with this definition: "Carmen Cardillo is the daughter of the avant-garde, the daughter of the discipline and good reading [...] perpetually poised between reason and feeling generous. "His calculations are intimate "photo souls" imperfect sketches of the shape of hat mason homes elongated aereoplanini paper. Others are fragments: it is his face, his identity, which composes and decomposes, which takes many forms, existences. The photos of Carmen go out to meet, to tell, "selfies aware that you are in, as opposed to the noise," says Karin Reisovà.
Thanks to the precious collaboration of teachers and youth counselor of the city, on the day of Wednesday, November 5 Toesca House will be open as early as the morning to accommodate the school children of the area by involving them in photography workshops tended by the artist. The day will end with the inauguration of the exhibition starting at 18.
