Friday 20th February 2015 opens at the MEF - Museo Ettore Fico, area concept store, the exhibition DAB Design for Artshop and Bookshop. The exhibition presents the prototypes selected at the Fifth edition of the homonymous national competition. The DAB project, born in 2006, is promoted by GAI - Association for the Circuit of Young Italian Artists and created by Young Art of the City of Modena. DAB is part of the Convention Project DE.MO. - Support for the new design and mobility, signed between JHA and Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (MiBACT) - General Art and Architecture and Suburbs contemporary urban and Museums General Directorate.
Show the DAB has proposed projects from 20 designers selected by the Commission composed of Sandra Tucci, coordinator of the project for the MiBACT - former DG V PaBAAC Service; Patrizia Rossello Association JHA and Michele Zini, Architect and Designer Studio ZPZ Partners.
Will be exhibited prototypes: Antonio Abatangelo; Chiara angels; the collective formed by Margarita De Carlos Aviles, Marco Fogaccia, Shi Jintian, Nicoletta Marangoni and Maria Montes De Oca; Emilio Baria; Ilaria Bartolini; Lucia Biancalana and Eleonora Bompieri; Bottega Krua Jade Fogliato and Arianna Piazza; Code0039 Dante Antonucci, Laura Crognale, Stefania and Alessandro Quintilii soup; De-sign of Daniela and Enrica Cavasin Zanini; Alessandro Esposito, Federico Fiordigiglio; Alberto Galotta and Federica Lissoni; Gian Piero Giovannini; Massimiliano Marianni; Elena Maurigh; Constance Palmirani; Lorenzo Steps; Arianna Piazza; Daniele Pitch; Studio Alchemical Julius Bogani and Sofia Crescioli. The committee selected projects that would respond positively to three requirements of the competition: they belong to the scenario of contemporary design culture; actual compatibility with the museum shop for object features, price, market; possibility of being produced in mode of self or non-traditional production chain. You tried to select also developed projects in diverse fields of research or able to propose new types of products, so as to have a scenario broad proposals that would give depth to a comprehensive reading, in the catalog or exhibition.
