Winter Flowers

The Cultural Association of Archimandrites Academy, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate for Cultural Heritage and Landscape of Piedmont, the Superintendence for Architectural Heritage and Landscape of the provinces of Turin, Asti, Cuneo, Biella, Vercelli, the town of Moncalieri and the Association of Friends of the Royal Castle and the Park of Moncalieri proposes the fourth edition of the Winter Flowers at the Rose Garden of the Castle of Moncalieri.
The Association, which works to promote the Castello di Moncalieri, given the success of the past editions and the increasing enthusiasm of the audience, once again this event in order to draw attention to the space of the Rose Garden and the Castle itself , inserted in 1997 in the list of UNESCO World Heritage.
The fall season comes to an end, and our exposure Flowers Winter opens the door to winter, in that winter is not yet Christmas but recommends that the care and shelter to the plants.
Ours is a trade show where there will be a temporary nursery industry experts who have activities related to green, to gardening and landscape architecture, including producers, traders and artisans, mainly from Piedmont but also from other regions of Italy, who will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their products such as plants, flowers, garden equipment and furnishings, handicrafts and foods.
This year the event will also feature a photo exhibition on the issue of the 2014 Chelsea Flower Show, the most important event in the world dedicated to the world of flowers.
In addition, the Galleria La Rocca di Torino realize the exhibition "The flower art" through a series of posters that reflect the theme of the event.
Winter flowers always wants to help make it more accessible to citizens the Rose Garden, the hinge between the village and the castle from the beginning of the seventeenth-century residence, which has maintained even after its connecting function: in the eighteenth century, when it will become a place of coach house guests of the castle, and later, in the years of the Princess Clotilde, when the Garden hosted the competition for the "most beautiful rose", taking the name that still characterizes it.
In conjunction with the Jazz Festival of Moncalieri, in the day Saturday, November 1 the audience will be entertained by musical ensembles that will host the Rose Garden.
The inauguration of the event is scheduled for Saturday, November 1 at 10 am and the exhibition will be open to the public with free admission until Sunday, November 2nd, from 10am to 07pm.
