Opens at Ca' Rezzonico, the symbol of the eighteenth-century Venice, the initiative "Archives of landscape painting ", dedicated to the protagonists of the lesser known and some specific aspects of one of the most popular genres of painting of the eighteenth century. The first appointment was as the protagonist Pietro Bellotti nephew of Canaletto and his younger brother Bernardo Bellotti .
Born in 1725 in Venice, Pietro Bellotti takes advantage of his belonging to the family of his uncle Canaletto and fame , especially in France , where he moved and worked for fifty years, calling himself " the Sieur Canalety 'or' Peter Bellotti of Caneletty ." He settled in Toulouse with the family , after a brief apprenticeship in the workshop of his brother , the painter is remembered in Besançon , Nantes, Lille and Paris and, at least for a short time in England. With an independent style and personal processes the inventions of Canaletto , creating numerous views of the most important cities in Europe as well as some architectural whims .
The exhibition brings together for the first time forty-five works that reconstruct the artistic career of the artist, documenting the greatest extent possible today its vast repertoire figurative . The canvases come in nearly all from private collections in Europe and USA , where they will be joined by a few paintings of the artist are now preserved in museums . They will also be included in the exhibition, held in the spectacular rooms on the first floor of Ca ' Rezzonico , the paintings are signed and those documented in his hand as early as the eighteenth century.
