Pediment of the Temple of Apollo Sosianus
This scultural group decorated the pediment of the temple, which was to the right of the Theatre of Marcellus, three columns of which remain. The sculpture, which shows a struggle between the Greeks and the Amazons, was taken by the Romans from a Greek temple and used in the reconstruction of the temple of Apollo Sosianus during the Augustan era.
