In the vicinity of the Porta Palazzo market and the Duomo, you encounter the remains of Roman Turin – here the so-called “Torri Palatine” towers stand out, old gates to the city dating back to the I century a.C. The area was completely refurbished in recent years – the project, entrusted to architects Isola, Durbiano and Reinero, also included the creation of a garden which would uncover the traces of the old city. Thanks to the nice lawn, today it is the perfect location for relaxation after market shopping or after visiting the most important tourist attractions of the city centre.
