These sites are all associated with events or people in Turin during the Second World War. They include the Nazionale Hotel (which served as the headquarters of the German police and witnessed vicious interrogations of political prisoners), the Jewish ghetto, the “Nuove” prison (where opponents of the regime were held), the Gobetti home (which served as the headquarters of the antifascist Action Party), the Fiorio tannery (where funds were raised for Piedmontese partisans), Palazzo Campana (which became the local fascist base), the air-raid shelter in Piazza Risorgimento and the Martinetto Sanctuary (where executions took place).
