DESCRIZIONE:
The palace used to be the residence of Camillo Benso Count of Cavour, who was born here in 1810, but its construction dates back to 1729, when it was designed by Gian Giacomo Plantery for count Michele Antonio Benso. Around the middle of the century it was expanded by Giuseppe Bovis who added new apartments. It develops around two forecourts and inside has a wonderful staircase and refined stucco decorations. In 1847 the minister of Victor Emmanuel II established here the paper Il Risorgimento, published until 1852.
