The city of New York is ready to welcome Donatello, one of the greatest masters of Italian Renaissance, in 2015.

Twenty works from the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Florence will arrive in the american city for the first time before its new opening, and they will be displayed here for this unique exhibition outside Italy.

"Sculpture in the Age of Donatello: Renaissance Masterpieces From Florence Cathedral" will be open at the Museum of Biblical Art (MOBIA), a young institution in the Upper West Side, between February 20th and June 14th, 2014.
The exhibition was organized on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the museums, and will present sculptures of the florentine master, next to others by Filippo Brunelleschi, Nanni di Banco and Luca della Robbia.

Among them, there will be some statues created by Donatello for the Cathedral and Giotto's Campanile, such as those of the Prophets exhibited inside the Baptistery of Florence from May 3rd, 2014.
