Oristano - Forty years ago, in the territory of Mont'e Prama, near Oristano, several fragments emerged, which reassembled returned 24 impressive nuraghic sculptures of warriors, archers and boxers.
To celebrate this important anniversary all the statues were restored and assembled in the archaeological museums of Cabras and Cagliari last March, and a new excavation campaign began.
Soon a nuraghic sanctuary had emerged from the same area, and recently it was followed by the discovery of some fragments and the torso of a new giant, a boxer. Its identity was confirmed by the joint of the right arm, which although incomplete, seems to be raised, as it showed the glove.
Now archaeologists have to identify the fragments of the statue, which could complete one of the 24 sculptures already found, which are still incomplete in some cases.
