DESCRIZIONE:
This is the best preserved of the buildings in the “City of Science” that was constructed in the late 19th century around the Castle of Valentino, in what was considered a suburban area of the city at the time. The ideology behind the scheme was the new positivistic outlook, which led to a big push forward by technical and scientific faculties. The lecture theatres, laboratories and departments of the Faculties of Medicine and Surgery, Chemistry and Science were located in this building. During the Second World War, the Action Party held secret meetings here.
