Lorenzo Senni. AAT + Persona II

Marsèlleria permanent exhibition presents AAT + Persona II, a solo show by Lorenzo 
Senni (from July 16 th to August 28 th ). Senni, a leading figure in international 
electronic music, will show a sound installation resulting from the experience in the 
legendary EMS studio in Stockholm. 

AAT (Advanced Abstract T, 36’48”), presented as stereo diffusion, it's a '36 "48 long 
audio-piece, a composed display of breakdowns, falling basses, flattened pre-build-up 
states, and non-uplifting musical regions in Trance, Hard Trance, Hardstyle & ardcore. 
Along the sonic element, Persona II, (#3 digital prints) is a complementary selection 
from the series Persona, for which the artist commissioned drawings to users from the 
DeviantArt community. 

On July 15 th , at 10 pm, the artist will be a protagonist in the Hangar Bicocca 
programme Summer Casino, curated by Damián Ortega and Pedro Rocha.

Lorenzo Senni 
Tireless investigator of dance music's mechanisms and working parts, and head of 
respected experimental label Presto!?, Lorenzo Senni is a key figure in international 
electronic music. 
His work explores the idea of the "buildup" found in euphoric dance music as a 
starting point to make a non-uplifting, more introspective piece that implicitly 
preserves its emotional tension and drama. 
With Presto!? , he has released albums by a number of internationally acclaimed 
artists including Florian Hecker, Carsten Höller, DJ Stingray, Carl Michael Von 
Hausswolff, Palmistry, EVOL and Marcus Schmickler. 
With his side project STARGATE, released on the italian Hundebiss, with "Hexplore 
Superfluidity" and played extensively around Europe in 2013. Lorenzo Senni is also 
part of the power-trio One Circle along with Vaghe Stelle & A:RA. 
Lorenzo Senni played international festival CTM 13 Golden Age, SONAR 2013 20th 
Anniversary , Supersimetria, Club To Club, Donau Festival, has exhibited his work and 
carried out performances at Macba (Barcelona), Centre Pompidou (Paris), Casa da Musica 
(Porto), Auditorium Rai (Torino), Berghain (Berlin), SPACE (London), Gasconade 
(Milan), Zabludowicz Foundation (London), 1M3 (Lausanne), S.M.A.K. (Ghent), ICA 
(London)
