For the Project Room’s second appointment, Maria Teresa Ortoleva (1990) tackles a new stage in her research career on the phenomenon of the imagination beginning with the case study of the bestiary, a form of encyclopaedic knowledge that places equal weight and significance on empirical, scientific and observed data as to fantastical, symbolical and mythological elements.
With the aim of analysing the paths and mechanisms of the imagination, the artist presents a new production of Triumphus Visionis, in order to compare the imagination’s paths with the mechanisms of the web and digital information search tools.
