Angela Lorenz. Rainy day windfall: chance encounters in an artist's archive

This first examination of Angela Lorenz’ 100-odd collections attempts to shed light on the relationships between junk and epistemology: how do parking-rage notes denote manuscripts, or ball gowns unravel from fruit candy? How can the controlled operations of individual creativity encounter the flux of mass- produced relics found on sidewalks? A rare look into how chance and intentionality feed each other and nourish Lorenz’ fascinating artistic process.
