Sebastião Salgado is the most important documentary photographer of our time. After his major exhibitions ( In The Way, 2000 The hand of Man, 1994) now presents its new photographic work , GENESIS , made during the course of the last ten years. A passionate look tended to emphasize the need to protect our planet, to change our way of life , to take on new behavior more respectful of nature and what surrounds us , to gain a new harmony .
A world tour started in the spring of 2013 that from 1 February to mid- May 2014 will arrive in Venice at the Casa dei Tre Oci the fascinating space on the Giudecca that thanks to the project of the Foundation of Venice, is the site dedicated to photography in its three floors overlooking the basin of San Marco . From here Genesis will continue its journey in other stages that will reach all major cities of the world.
Foundation of Venice , Contrast, and Civita Tre Venezie exhibit this extraordinary work of 200 large photographs taken around the world , through the 25 trips made between 2003 and 2011 by Salgado . An exhibition not to be missed , accompanied by a draft notice imposing.
