Press Release:

This first public presentation of the Magnani Collection recounts the story of perfume through its extraordinary bottles, which have always been linked to human history.  In fact, the container is an essential part of the fascinating history of perfume: the evolution of the bottle or flacon in its form and materials retraces an interesting journey through the history of craftsmanship and customs. Considering the vastness of the  topic and to make it easier to appreciate, the exhibition will be divided into categories according to the various materials and forms used, with particular emphasis on glass, ceramics, goldsmithing and precious metals. In this way the display will intrigue the visitor by showing the evolution of the perfume bottle in the parallel history of perfume and fashion, and the range of materials that were used in different eras.
