From 28 November 2014 to 13 January 2015 at the Galleria Paola Meliga in Turin, Anna Alberghina, turin traveler and photographer, presents 25 images of African peoples who retain, unaltered, values, customs and ancestral traditions.
A photographic exhibition which arises from the need to witness an Africa that disappears slowly fades away, swept away by the whirlwind of globalization, the market economy, the imported religions and economic neo-colonialism.
From the Bororo of Niger Batwa of Uganda, and the Pokot Rendille of Kenya in Muchimba Makawana and Angola, these faces tell us of a "terra incognita" that has never ceased to exercise his charm attracting, over the centuries, explorers and adventurers, settlers and travelers.
During the exhibition will be presented the book "Face of Africa" by Bruno Albertino and Anna Alberghina, published by Editions and Neos will present some African tribal masks belonging to the private collection of the authors.
