On Thursday, October 16 at 6 pm opens at the Palace of Piedmont Region, 1st Floor, in Piazza Castello 165 in Turin, the exhibition of Dario Egidi "Lands of Tanaro", realized with the support and collaboration of the Piedmont Region and of Cultural Association of Photography, which presents some of the pictures that illustrate the book "The Tanaro. Landscapes, histories and traditions", written by Mauro Pedron.
The book, published by Primalpe, explores the path of the Tanaro from the Maritime Alps to the confluence with the Po, specifically documenting the landscapes, histories and traditions of the land on which the river flows, both through the reading easy and engaging of the text, both through photographic images.
The text comes from the passion and professionalism of Mauro Pedron, experienced journalist to promote tourism and territorial marketing, who has over fifteen years of collaboration with the leading publications in the sector of food and wine and tourism. The author is also devoted to various topics related to popular culture, traditions and identity of small communities.
In parallel with the publication of the book, the photographer Dario Egidi thought to illustrate the whole course of the river so as to have the book, full of ideas and suggestions, accompanied by images that return immediately to the visitor a glimpse into the landscapes that vary greatly from birth the river in the Ligurian Alps, to its being placed in the Po close to the border with Lombardy.
The show, which was hosted in numerous public venues (Carrù, Magliano Alfieri, Novello, Nucetto, Rocca d'Tapestry, Rocchetta Tanaro, Ormea, Pollenzo, Asti and Alessandria), ending in Turin, in the prestigious headquarters of the region.
