Coming from the Hall of the Palazzo Sant'Elia di Palermo, where he was presented with great success, in March 2014, organized by the Foundation Sant 'Elia, Province of Palermo, with the sponsorship of the Carabinieri, the collective "I am my scream" by Laura Oddo, Liliana Paganini and Francesca Taormina, now comes in the Halls of the Art Gallery Albertina in Turin, the high symbolic value and social subject matter, with works by twenty artists from various different backgrounds and artistic language. A nucleus is represented by important artists-teachers who work within the Accademia Albertina (Ajani, Avondoglio, De Stefano Fanti, Piasenta, Rovera, Santarcangeli, Tambourines and Valley) and that had already been present for an exhibition and a conference international which was held in Istanbul in March 2012 at Dogus Üniversitesi, partners of the Albertina; "Art is Questioning Violence" was the title of this initiative launched by the artist and animator Turkish cultural, Nazan Erkmen, strongly committed to the struggle for the emancipation of women in her country and that basically did the idea for this exhibition Italian version.
She writes in the introduction, one of the curators, Laura Oddo: "An exhibition, a journey that speaks to us in different ways to the destruction of the object loved. Stories drawn from shameful passions, declined by the greed of possession that destroys every feeling of love. Here, the woman is the object of desire. (...) Of course it is always a body to violate for fear of losing it. But you can not divide a body. Thus the exhibited works tell of women's eyes wide open abyss. Looks to tell different distances from a single horror. Husbands, lovers, fathers, brothers, friends, strangers met by chance, all predators of stories and lives. "
The exhibition, curated by the designer Ugo Li Puma, ends with a tribute-thinking on the same stand.
