The sculpture of Medardo Rosso and a the photograph of Angelo Garoglio together for an exhibition to be held from Wednesday, October 15 to Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Spazio Don Chisciotte of Torino.
Medardo Rosso photographing his sculptures giving testimony of how the photograph belonged by right to his poetry; Angelo Garoglio, taking advantage of the research and the intent of Red, tells us about his vision, presenting to the public the images of the two wax on plaster "Child jew" in 1892-93 and "Child in the Sun" in 1892, the first of which will be visible to the public for the first time.
"After discovering the enormous fertility contained in the sculptures and photographic methods of Medardo Rosso, - explains Enzo Restagno the catalog that accompanies the exhibition - Angelo Garoglio has focused his lens on" Child in the Sun "and" Child jew "two plaster covered with wax that date back to the 1892's lecture Rosso is complex; in a word we can say that translates into a call to creativity: the artist must through manipulation of the photographic material assigned to its invention, to create something new, something that only the fluid control of light can give birth. It 'a difficult choice and inspired but the suggestions implicit in the lesson of Red, Garoglio has been able to catch them very well, probably relying on an elective affinity in contemplation and manipulation of matter. "
The opening will be Tuesday, October 14 at 18 (show times since October 15: martedì- 10.30-12.30 Saturday and 15:30 to 19:30).

MEDARDO ROSSO
Medardo Rosso was born in Turin in 1858, he moved with his family to Milan in 1870 He attended from 1882 to 1883 the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera where he proved intolerant of academic teaching. He began his artistic career in the field of scapigliatura Milan. In 1889 he went to Paris, where he came into contact with the Impressionist artists. He returned to Milan in 1914, where he married Judith Wells with whom he had a son recorded to the registry with the name of Francis Long live the Rebel Alliance.
Realized mainly wax sculptures, but also in bronze, terracotta, plaster and pencil drawings and color.
He exhibited his works in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Francais, the Salon des Independents in Thomas and Galleries Georges Petit, and in Vienna in 1885 He made some busts for the Monumental Cemetery in Milan. In 1886 he exhibited in London and Venice and in 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris. It was estimated, among his contemporaries by Edgar Degas and Auguste Rodin. Influenced later artists such as Boccioni, Carrà and Manzù.
Medardo Rosso said: "To me, art, interested above all to forget the matter", in fact his sculptures are made up of shapes "unfinished", which seem to suggest the presence of the surrounding environment.
He died on the evening of March 31, 1928, is buried at the Monumental Cemetery in Milan.

ANGELO Garoglio
Angelo Garoglio born in Milan in 1951, lives and works in Turin.
Since 1979, he exhibited in public and private spaces in Italy, France, Germany, Ireland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.
He subsequently collaborated with the French poet Yves Bonnefoy volume Neuf Pierres, presented in Paris (2003) and has held solo exhibitions in Zurich (2005), Milan (2008) and Turin (2008.2011, the Triskel Arts Centre in Cork in Ireland and the Archaeological Museum of Florence (2012).
