La Casa di Carlo Goldoni is the ideal setting to preview the exhibition of puppets-burattinocreate by the brilliant imagination of one of the most versatile of the art world: the composer, painter, set designer, costume designer and actor Bussotti (Florence, 1931) .
A series of unique rich texture of a strong expressive value that reinvents this ancient folk tradition, in a sort of portrait "extreme" in which prevails the idea of ??the character or type of character: elements of his particular specimens "theater".
Along with these multicolored fabrics returns to be exhibited in the permanent collection of the Museum of the famous "Teatrino Grimani ai Servi" (named after the Venetian family that owned it), or "Punch and Judy", recently undergone a thorough restoration that 'brought back to its former glory.
This precious artifact of the eighteenth century is one of the most historically important examples of that great little art entertainment widespread in Venice Baroque and probably, as evidenced by the sources, even at Ca' Centanni, birthplace of Carlo Goldoni.
