Among the very first works of the florentine artist in Rome, who came to the city in 1531, recalling the architectural settings of the later paintings of Raphael and the twisted figures with the typical classical drapings of Giulio Romano and Penni. In this work, there is already the great capacity of the artist to bring “lightness” to his work, no matter what the subject matter, holy or profane.
