Press Release:

The Viennese-born architect Leopold Pollack was called in the late eighteenth century by the Countess Faustina Grosso, the widow of Count Carlo Mazzetti of Montalero, to create a wonderful park with landscaped garden in the summer residence at Riva presso Chieri, currently known as the Palazzo Grosso.
The exhibition aims to acquaint the general public with the figure of the architect Leopold Pollack and Countess Faustina Grosso, with the intent to engage the visitor in the space harmonic of English gardens of the day: walk the woodland trails through the magnificent works, learn about the plants and flowers in dialogue with architecture and sculptures that reflect the classic evocation of streams and small lakes. The exhibition is housed within the Palazzo Grosso.
Thanks to the support of various institutions and private lenders, in addition to the designs of Pollack will be able to enjoy precious contemporary objects such as paintings, books, porcelain, "gallantry" and small sculptures reflecting widespread interest for the garden and landscape, both internationally, both among the aristocracy of Savoy.
