Dome and Altar by Guarino Guarini
The Guarini dome is considered to be the main technical innovation of the XVII-century Turin architecture. It is located on an intrados consisting of 16 crossed bands and lays on four carrying arches leaning against the walls. The altars design is another genial spatial and chromatic solution invented by the architect, with the high altar frontal portraying the face of Emmanuel Philibert.
