Daniel Gallery
Is named after Daniel Seiter who painted the ceiling with the Apotheosis of Victor Amadeus II and mythological scenes in the late seventeenth century.
The decoration of the environment was then updated by Benedetto Alfieri the mid-eighteenth century with the addition of mirrors on the wall of inspiration for the famous Hall of Mirrors at Versailles.
Following the establishment of the Savoy Gallery where the paintings came together first exposed in this environment, Carlo Alberto commissioned works still on display, depicting the glories of Piedmont, famous men and saints.
Crystal chandeliers are of the eighteenth century, while the bronze sconces, clock and candelabra with hunting scenes are due to the sculptor Francesco Ladatte.
