High Altar
This Baroque altar was made by Francesco Maria Giudici (1697-1703) to a design by Michelangelo Garove and Melchiorre Galleani for Emmanuel Philibert, Prince of Carignano. It has six spiral columns and an altarpiece above it depicting the Virgin and Child, Saints Eusebius and John the Baptist, and the Blessed Amadeus and Margaret of Savoy, which was painted in Rome by Carlo Maratta and subsequently taken to Turin (1701-08).
