Founded in 1961 in Venice by a group of young students just out of college, the publishing house Marsilio offers publications covering every cultural angle, from essays to architecture, from narratives, which have always been of special interest both for the publishing house itself as well as of great success with the public, to art catalogues, illustrated books, guides, classics. In 2000, Marsilio joined the RCS Group and distributes books in English through Rizzoli New York, among them the series “Mode” and the catalogue of the Biennale, which have wide distibution in the United States and the world.
