Triptych of the Frari
The triptych, signed and dated, pays homage through the depicted saints to the members of the Pesaro family, owners of the chapel: the father Pietro, who is buried there, along with the sons Niccolò, Marco and Benedetto. At the same time, the inscription on the mosaic and on Benedict's book recall the Immaculate Conception of Mary of which the Franciscans were the principal proponents.
