The palace was built from 1528 by the Querini family (Stampalia is the Greek island which was owned by the family as their feud until the beginning of the XVI century). Bequeathed to the city by count Giovanni Querini in 1868, it houses the Foundation of the same name characterized by a rich library and by the art gallery with important Italian and foreign works coming from the family collection and set in the precious mostly original XVII-century decor of the Palace.
