The ceiling of the Sacristy is the first work the painter produced for the church and is among the first he executed in Venice after his arrival from Verona. The commission, which was arranged by his fellow townsman Bernardo Torlioni, prior of the convent, signalled the start of the comprehensive renovation of the decoration with the celebration of the Virgin crowned by the Trinity.
