San Vincenzo Ferrer Polyptych

San Vincenzo Ferrer Polyptych
The large polyptych on the second altar to the right was painted for the confraternity consecrated to the famous Dominican preacher canonized a few years prior (1455). Young Bellini portrays him in the middle panel in fire, the symbol of his ardour, surrounded by Saint Sebastian and Saint Cristopher, in the style that is still linked to the painting of his brother-in-law Mantegna.
