The Poem of Human Life

On the third floor of the Ca' Pesaro, visible on request, is the enormous frieze created by Giulio Aristide Sartorio for the Italian Pavillion of the Biennale of 1907, which was brought to the museum in 1909. It is a masterpiece of symbolist painting which, through it 240 square metres divided in 14 panels, depicts the "poem of human life" through classical myth.
