DESCRIZIONE:
The Frick Collection in New York is one of the most important small museums in the United States. It includes a remarkable collection of paintings by great masters set up in sixteen thematic galleries. The cadres are grouped according to criteria decided by your donor. After Henry Clay Frick's death in 1919, his daughter Helen Clay Frick expanded the collection in 1933 by adding a third of the art objects. Two successive acquisitions of works of art took place in 1977 and 2011. The collection now features some of the most important masterpieces of European painting, as well as sculptures and porcelains, period furniture and antique carpets. Among the works in the collection: Giovanni Bellini, Gentile da Fabriano, Filippo Lippi, Rembrandt, Tiziano, Jan Vermeer.
