Naples - With the beginning of the spring season and the arrival of tourists on the island of Capri, the "Casa Rossa" Museum will open its doors to the public.
From April 1° 2014, thanks to the obligations assumed by the Municipality of Anacapri since 2003, visitors will have the opportunity to admire again this singular place and its treasures.

From the architectural point of view, the Casa Rossa, with its pompeian red and its merlons, represents one of the best examples of that eclecticism that became popular on the island at the end of the 19th century.
Located in the center of Anacapri, it was established by American Confederate lieutenant colonel John Clay MacKowen between 1876 and 1899, and it is currently home to a significant collection of 19th and 20th century canvases depicting different views of the island.

Since 2008 the Museum displays the roman marble statues from the Blue Grotto, intentionally presented in an independent room to show all their splendor to the public.
